The Beginning
Joann’s Healing Hands was Established in 2017 by a Registered Nurse Sara Weeden. Sara established this company in the loving memory of her grandmother, Mrs. JoAnn Williams. Her Grandmother was a chemistry teacher, and a person who cared for everyone in her community by her thoughts, words and deeds. Unfortunately Mrs JoAnns Williams passed away from a medical mistake while sara was in nursing school, but Sara wanted her legacy to live on through JoAnn’s Healing Hands and to try and help assist others that are in need.
After the passing of her grandmother Sara noticed that there was a great need for individuals when transitioning from the hospital setting to a home setting which was the need for professional in-home care and daily companionship. Sara also noticed that if patients were over able to establish a care plan right for them and had the ability to make their own safe decision as well as direct their own care, then these individuals had a greater chance of recovery and a normal life. Sara wanted the patients to stay in the comfort of their home and establish a companionship with a professional caretaker and Nurse that would help assist them daily, verses going to a nursing home or a long term care facility. After doing many research study’s, Sara noticed that if these important factors where in place along with a great healthcare team, the patient recovery time was reduced and the medical outcome would be normally achieved.
About our Director
Our Director Sara Weeden holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is certified in multiple levels of nursing care, and is a certified home health care specialist. Sara has years of experience serving members of the community, as well as the elderly community. Along with these achievements, Sara also has hands-on experience caring for the critically ill patients in acute care, mental health patients, seniors, Orthopedic and Rehab. She also participates in community health initiatives. Sara and her staff are professionally qualified to serve all levels of patient care that you are looking for in the comfort of your home. Sara grandmother Mrs. JoAnns Williams legacy will continue to live on through JoAnn’s Healing Hands.

As care partners, we provide assistance with daily living skills, development skills, positive behavior support, and community interaction. Through specialized training, our home health aides are trained to deliver quality care and support.
